Before starting Christine Minas Fine Art (CMFA) in 2014, Christine Minas spent over 20 years working for some of the finest international museums and commercial galleries, including the Frick Collection and James Cohan Gallery in New York, the Canadian Centre for Architecture in Montreal and the National Gallery of Canada in Ottawa.
As an independent art advisor, Christine works with private clients, corporations, foundations, property developers and others. She brings the highest standards coupled with a warm style to each project—from advising clients about acquiring art for a new home, to helping art collectors build a world-class collection, to curating temporary exhibitions for corporate organizations.
CMFA is firmly committed to several principles: providing clear and transparent information to clients in an effort to demystify the art market; sharing the work of compelling artists with new audiences in evocative ways; and fostering relationships between art lovers, artists, and the network of professionals who make up the art world’s ecosystem.
A Los Angeles native, Christine is a classically trained art historian. She holds a BA in the History of Art from University College, London, and a Master’s in 17th-century Dutch painting from the Courtauld Institute of Art in London.
Christine Minas is a member of the Association of Professional Art Advisors (APAA) and is based in New York.
