Christine Minas Art Advisory (CMAA) is firmly committed to several principles: providing clear and transparent information to clients in an effort to demystify the art market; sharing the work of compelling artists with new audiences in evocative ways; and fostering relationships between art lovers, artists and the network of professionals who make up the art world’s ecosystem.

We identify the most compelling artists and artworks for each project and offer a choice of à la carte or turn-key services to meet each client’s particular needs. By traveling the world to connect with artists and dealers and to visit art fairs and museums, we are able to provide our clients with the latest information and best advice for their goals.

CMAA stays on the pulse of the contemporary art world in order to share trends, market insights and exclusive access with our clients. When there is interest, we also encourage clients to consider historical art and objects for their collections or design programs.

Our network includes specialists in every field of art history, and we leverage their expertise based on the specifics of each project. Our customized solutions are always informed by a dedication to the highest of professional standards and a commitment to our client’s budget and timeline. As an independent consulting firm, CMAA does not represent artists or act as an agent for any specific galleries. This means that our only focus is the client who has hired us.

Private Clients: the Christine Minas Art Advisory Process

It starts with a conversation

The first consultation is complimentary, during which we discuss a potential client’s short- and long-term goals and interests in art. CMAA will then suggest which services might be appropriate at the onset and determine what could be addressed further down the line. Establishing and developing a good personal relationship is key to a successful and enjoyable collaboration.

If the client would like to move forward with working with CMAA, the next step will be to look at lots of art together. This process will help to establish individual tastes, rather than just relying on words. When applicable, CMAA will prepare decks of images to review with the client to get a sense of likes, dislikes and avenues for further exploration. If it is of interest, we will accompany the client to art galleries and art fairs, or we can suggest fairs and galleries for the client to visit independently.

Working Together

When useful, CMAA provides mockups and renderings of art selections so clients can make more informed choices based on what an artwork will look like in a given location. Once an artwork has been selected, CMAA assists with price negotiation and the organization of packing, shipping and installation.

Caring for your Collection

Acquiring and installing artworks is only the beginning. Taking care of artworks, especially when there are many of them, can be a complex endeavor. Caring for artworks includes managing environmental factors, insurance, conservation, moving and fine art storage. CMAA offers a full suite of services to guide and assist in managing new and existing collections.
