Keeping in mind both the property’s local story as well as the vast beauty of its Pacific Ocean neighbor, CMAA assembled a group of dynamic photographs, editions and mixed media works.
The Current, Long Beach, California
For this residential high-rise, art-forward developer Ryan Altoon (Anderson Pacific) engaged CMAA to source artworks in collaboration with Ariel Fox Design. The brief for The Current’s art program was to identify lively artworks that spoke to the new building’s location in Long Beach, California, a developing beachside community with a notable industrial history. Keeping in mind both the property’s local story as well as the vast beauty of its Pacific Ocean neighbor, CMAA assembled a group of dynamic photographs, editions and mixed-media works, including Mallory Morrison’s Flip, the photograph of underwater swimmers shown here.
